Chemical Customer Service Annual Conference
Closes on a High Note

Wilmington , Delaware July 2007

 The Chemical Customer Service Management Group’s (CCSMG) annual conference was a “great success” according to CCSMG President Betty McCorkle.  “With over one-hundred attendees from more than thirty companies represented from the chemical and allied services industry, the sharing and learning opportunities have been phenomenal.”

Host company DuPont’s Gregory Thompson set the tone for the conference at its opening reception with his reflection that the chemical industry will always face competitive challenges regarding costs and services but customer service is one area that deserves continued investment because of its key role in customer relationship excellence.

This year’s conference was held in Wilmington , Delaware at the historic DuPont Hotel. The agenda included three days of concurrent break-out sessions that focused on industry best practices, professional development and discussion forums on topics such as eBusiness, SAP, and Customer Relationship Management.  Key note and motivational speakers provided focus on personal excellence. A vendor showcase provided insight into some of the services available for our industry/profession.

Eric Arneson, CCSMG vice president, offered that “DuPont did an outstanding job as our host company this year. Our vendors were key contributors, too, as well as our general membership. I look forward to building on the success of this year’s conference as CCSMG plans next year’s event.”

The Chemical Customer Service Management Group (CCSMG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the recognition and advancement of the Customer Service profession with ties to and an organizational emphasis on issues pertaining to Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Allied Industries. Its primary mission is to provide a professional forum from which the membership will have Networking, Educational and Professional development opportunities.
